Pregnancy... a time of amazing intensity and massive adjustment. People going through this need teachers who can confidently speak to their needs and provide a place to find comfort, ease and support. We as a culture are waking up to the importance of pre and postnatal health and we are thrilled to be part of the conversation.

This is a training that honors a woman’s many phases and stages throughout her life, especially the awesome rite of passage through pregnancy and birth. Our prenatal YTT fuses scientific knowledge of safe practices, as well as blending movements that can be dynamic, meditative and nurturing. We offer a holistic approach with a spiritual thread for a layered learning experience.

Our Spring 2021 PYTT Crew!

Led by Jessica Fawcett E-RYT 200, RPYT, Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, as well as an array of working birth professionals. Students can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the prenatal body, how to develop classes that will speak to the needs of a prenatal student, as well as study up to date research and methods within the birth work field that will allow you to become a teacher who can guide with confidence.

I am a certified birth and postpartum doula as well as a prenatal and Vinyasa yoga teacher. Supporting women and their families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is a passion I hold near to my heart. With an extensive background in yoga I bring wisdom about the physical workings of the body to the laboring mother’s experience.

It is my firm belief that women deserve to feel empowered, safe, and supported by all those involved in their journey through pregnancy and as new mothers. It is through my work as a doula that I am able to provide knowledge, physical and emotional support, as well as coaching through the most intense parts of birth. I also enjoy ensuring the family as a whole is supported during labor, encouraging partners to be as much a part of the process of supporting the birthing mother and bringing new life into the world as possible.

It is through my personal experience of birth that I recognize the power and wisdom each person holds within themselves. During labor and through my prenatal yoga classes, I guide women in tapping into their own unique strengths to carry them through their pregnancy and birth with grace. Additionally, I am skilled at supporting pregnant women in the physical challenges and discomforts that can arise in pregnancy; offering a yoga practice that can help alleviate the physical, emotional, and energetic shifts that are inherent in being pregnant.

I also work one on one with children experiencing physical disabilities, facilitating them in tapping into their own strengths and limitless possibility through yoga.

I live in the mountains of Boulder with my husband, son, and two dogs. I enjoy yoga, rock climbing, running, and spending time outdoors.
